Drug Preparation and Repository Services
The Drug Formulation and Repository Laboratory has responsibility for the receipt and tracking of over 20,000 compounds per year. Functions of the laboratory include general record keeping, which includes tracking of the compound, solubility testing, mass measurements, and solubilization as well as aliquot preparation, labeling and maintenance of the repository of unsolubilized and solubilized compounds. Computerized databases are used to manage the flow of compounds through our laboratory to assure efficient testing of submitted samples as well as accurate records of any problems with compound solubility or pH changes. Interaction between our formulation experts and our evaluation laboratories facilitates problem solving and efficient testing with problem compounds. Our laboratories are available to manage compound repositories, investigate solubility and testing issues and provide advice on the appropriate preparation of your samples for evaluation.
